ln 2020, Constructions-3D succeeded the construction of the first concrete 3D printed building in France. lt was also one of the first edifices to be entirely printed with a mobile robot. This 72 m² (775 sq ft) building called «Le Pavillon» came to life in about 24 hours (report in CPT 1.2020). Building on this success, Constructions-3D is ready to continue the construction of its HQ using its 3D construction printing technologies.
ln the end, 2 800 m² (30138 sq ft) of buildings will be 3D printed on an 11200 m² site located in Bruay-sur-l'Escaut, near the city of Valenciennes in the North of France. ln addition to buildings, Constructions-3D will be printing many different kinds of structures such as ponds, bridges, as well as bearing and non-bearing structures.
Major worksite for the research and development
On this worksite will be further developed the cutting-edge construction 3D building techniques. This project offers the opportunity to try new high performing materials, set new ecological and structural standards as well as display disruptive constructions methods. Finally, this project allows Constructions-3D to record data that will prove essential to help spread these new technologies.
Le Pavillon
The construction of the concrete walls lasted a little more than 24 hours. Symbolically located in the center of the future HQ of the Constructions-3D and Machines-3D companies, this first building is destined to become a conference room as well as offer VR experiences.
